Amina was 18 when she fell pregnant

Her parents were not aware of her relationship with her non-Asian boyfriend as she feared they would not approve. She did not tell her parents she was pregnant until she was over 5 months as she knew as they would insist on a termination.

Once she told them, they locked in her room and told her she could not leave until the child was born, this was to ensure no one else found out as she had bought shame on the family. She was held prisoner in her home for 2 months with little food and no contact with the outside world.

One day, Amina managed to safely escape, she went straight to the hospital after which she went to stay with her boyfriend.  Amina gave birth to a little girl and they are both doing well.
