At first everything seemed to be going well, but soon afterwards her husband became violent and aggressive towards her. The beatings got more and more frequent and she felt she had no where to turn.

Eventually she filed for divorce but her parents felt she had bought shame on the family name and disowned her. She was outcasted by the community and so decided to leave and start a new life.

Tina is now studying towards a degree and has also started a small business.
