We are a young social enterprise working within local communities to provide assistance and support to young women particularly from a South Asian background who have left home and may require support and assistance in the transition from leaving their culturally bound lives to achieving a successful independent life.

We are a not for profit company, limited by guarantee. We are largely a web based service and continue to work towards generating revenue and receiving funding to set up our first drop in center in London where workshops and training can be delivered to ensure the right skills, access to services and advice are available in a safe and culturally respected environment.

Give a young South Asian women confidence, support and opportunity, and you will find an independent successful woman of the future. In order to remove the barriers to success you must first identify and responsibly challenge cultural and societal differences. We aim to provide a comprehensive support and advice service that will empower young women to realise their potential for successful independent living.

We offer culturally based support that is reflective of the needs of South Asian women, as such we respect the differences that unite us all.

Honesty: We value honesty as a core value at SHARAN as we understand that in many cases it is being honest that allows us to ensure the best choices are agreed by all parties and to ensure everyone is aware of the reality of any given situation.. All we ask in return is for you to be honest with us. We understand this is not always easy due to trust issues or fear of exposure, but be assured that your safety and wellbeing is our top priority. 

Confidentiality: We will not share your information with anyone outside SHARAN without your expressed permission. We will endeavour to ensure all database and chat room facilities are secure and maintained off site where possible.
