Be Safe - ensure you have a safe and secure place to stay. If not, get in touch with us or check out our useful links for more information. Be Smart - everyone is different so plan your next move, think about what you need to do and how you are going to do it. Be Brave - You have taken a huge step but there are many dangers that can be avoided, why not speak to us about safety planning.

2.  I am homeless/living on the streets, can you help?
We can help you find emergency accommodation, do get in touch and speak with one of our advisors, alternatively; • Contact your local homeless person unit (HPU) – see useful links for more details • Contact SHELTER on 0808 800 4444 • Contact your local Women’s Aid center – see useful links for more details

3.  I have suffered/am facing Domestic Violence, what can I do?
Domestic Violence (DV) affects 1 one 4 women in the UK. Talk to someone you trust or contact the The National Domestic Violence Helpline, which is a free 24 hour service 0808 2000 247 where you can speak with a trained advisor and learn about the options available to you

4.  I need help with claiming benefits, can you help?
Sharan can help assess your needs and work with you to identify which benefits you are eligable to claim. We can help you with the forms and explain the process. Call us 0844 504 3231 to speak to an advisor or email us info@sharan.org.uk

5.  Will you contact my family without my consent?
No, we will never make contact with family members nor disclose any personal information about you. If you do wish us to make contact on your behalf, we will firstly need to complete a risk assesmsent to ensure it is safe to do so.

6.  What can you do to help me?
Being away from home can be a daunting time, who do you trust? What do you do now? Where can you go to get help? SHARAN can assess your situation and provide you with specialist experienced advice and put you in touch with our key partners to ensure your needs are met in a respectful and confidential manner. 7.  What if I do not want to leave my name?
You can still contact us even if you do not wish to leave your name or details, however, It may be neccessary to ask you some questions so that we can offer you the most appropriate support and advice for your situation. Any information you do share with us wll not be disclosed.

8.  What do I do if I know a friend who needs your help?
You can contact us on their behalf on 0844 544 3231 or email info@sharan.org.uk to find out how we can help. You may also want to encourage your friend to check out our website where they will find useful links and information. If you know someone who is in immediate danger, contact the Police.
